Apple Resources On the Web
Apple may have had a tumultuous couple of years, but resources still abound on the Web for those loyal company aficionados. Whether you are looking for the latest drivers or just want to keep abreast of the unfolding Apple soap opera, you can surely do it from the comfort of your ergonomic computer chair. Some of my favorite Apple resource sites are listed below.
What better place to start than the official Apple site, which lists hundreds of resources, such as links to software updates and online publications. At the Apple site, you can also sign up for Apple mailing lists or follow the trail of the Mac Road Show, which is a national road show traveling to a city near you to show off the latest Apple innovations.
Apple Jedi bills itself as an "E-magazine for Evangelists, Software & Hardware Developers, Solutions Providers, and Defenders of the OS." Anyone interested in a critical and realistic look at the future of Apple and its products will appreciate this site.
With sections devoted to Mac-user tips and a column titled "Apple Cider: Random Squeezings from a Macintosh User," the e-zine About This Particular Macintosh captures that warm, fuzzy feeling many Apple users have for their own personal Mac.
Another site dedicated to the Mac, MacAddict, overflows with information. An important feature is the MacAddict Network, a grouping of sites dedicated to Mac fanatics, which has Mac news, reviews, games, and troubleshooting tips.
MacWorld is a Mac super site with news, buying information, shareware, games, tips, trade show information, and much more.
Those wanting to keep updated on Apple news will appreciate Apple Update, which features news, analysis, and video coverage.
