The King of Horror Online
Being able to scare people certainly has its rewards. In a little more than twenty years, Stephen King has gone from struggling high school English teacher to probably the richest writer in world history. Along the way, he's made horror fiction a legitimate genre again and supported countless other writers--all while raising a family and playing part-time in a rock band. And, of course, he's inspired dozens of websites.
Perhaps the best of the lot is the appropriately-named Stephen King Web Site; it offers overviews of all his books and movies, and even some information on King's pseudonym, Richard Bachman.
At Stephen King on the Web (love those names) you'll find collections of Frequently Asked Questions about the author. Celebsite: Stephen King features up-to-date news stories. The site known only as Stephen King is short on looks but long on content; it contains complete, annotated directories to all his books and films.
If you're trying to find rare editions of King's works, Betts Bookstore is the place to look. It's located in the author's home town of Bangor, Maine, but delivers to anywhere in the world.
And for some real-life tales of horror, check out Being Stephen King. It features hilarious stories by people who had the misfortune to be named Stephen King--and a list of questions never to ask them.
